Summer at Ambatalia

This summer is the first of feeling truly relaxed in my business and family. Honestly I could probably write about book about how it is to be a creative and be a big fat disorganized mess. Life has generally been that way for me. I could go into all the whys and what fors but for now I'm just so relieved that I'm at a place where everything is falling into place with help from others. I love my work and building a business by my self has been struggle to say the least. What an amazing journey of somewhere deep inside believing in my self and just going for it and not quitting EVER. If you come to my blog,  I would love to get to know who you are. Are you an artist. Do you struggle ( in the aloneness of creating by your self)? and how do you cope?

gifts

I was recently inspired by my beautiful friend bridget's post card she had sent me from India a few posts ago. Out of the magic of pure inspiration from one friend to another, I then posted about a master block printer from Anohki that I had found. When she returned for a visit to Marin she brought me a gift, a collection of samples from the same block printer. She had never seen my post. Life is filled with many mircles like this. I am truley blessed. These samples are beautiful. I'm thinking a quilt? I love you Bridget.

Amsterdam and Capisicum

Amsterdam is such an amazing city. My favorite fabric store that inspired me to open my own is there. I have been in contact with them ever since I found their store 5 years ago. I went there today with Camille and talked with Debra Pepper. All of these fabrics have such integrity and natural simple beauty.
