Youth Making A Difference eco Fashion show at the Fairfax festival June 13 and 14th 2009
Youth Making a Difference first fashion show event at the Fair fax eco festival was wonderful. The girls worked really hard for about three months meeting some times twice a week, and did such a beautiful job on thier designs. I enjoyed so much watching and supporting these girls coming up with such innovative ideas. This show and process was about creating fashion with complete creative freedom. Our guidelines to sustainability was using reclaimed or new organically grown fabric , repurposing used or vintage clothing and playing with several print techniques and plant dye. Hi,
Jen Jones told me to get in touch with you about this project. I am the director at Sustainable Fairfax and I have a fashionista daughter who I think would have a great time with this. She is almost 12 and we sew together. We were out of town last weekend but would love to know if there is a way to catch up.
